Everything you need to know before your pup's first visit.
It depends on your dog's breed and coat type. Most dogs benefit from a groom every 6–8 weeks. Long-coated or curly breeds (Poodles, Doodles, Shih Tzus) need it more frequently,every 4–6 weeks,to prevent matting. Short-coated breeds can go longer. We're happy to recommend a schedule at your first visit!
Most grooms take between 2–3 hours depending on your dog's size, coat condition and the service booked. We'll give you an estimated pickup time when you drop off. We never rush,your dog's comfort comes first!
Yes! Our certified groomers are experienced with all breeds,from tiny Chihuahuas to giant Bermese Mountain Dogs and everything in between. Each dog gets a groom tailored to their breed standard and your preferences.
Absolutely! We work with anxious and nervous dogs all the time. We take things at their pace, use gentle handling techniques, and never force a dog into anything that causes distress. Just let us know when you book so we can prepare,we want every visit to be a positive experience.
Give your dog a little exercise beforehand so they arrive calm and relaxed. Make sure they've had a toilet break before drop-off. If your dog has any health conditions, allergies or skin sensitivities, please let us know when booking so we can use the right products.
We use premium, pet-safe shampoos and conditioners suited to each dog's coat type and skin. We stock Australian-made products. If your dog has a known allergy or sensitivity, just let us know and we'll find the right product for them.
We find most dogs actually relax better without their owner in the room,they stop looking for reassurance and settle in faster! We'll keep you updated and always call if anything comes up. Of course, if you have concerns, we're happy to chat.
